First Year Experience Peer Mentors support all new undergraduate first-year students. Our Peer Mentors pick up where Orientation leaves off---you'll see us during summer programs, at Magnus Fest, FYE initiatives and events throughout your first year. Our Peer Mentors will help prepare you for a successful second year and beyond at ¾«¶«´«Ã½. 

Peer Mentors focus on relationship development within the ASC 101 class and into the community of ¾«¶«´«Ã½ University. Students in this role use their knowledge and perspectives as experienced peers to connect first-year students to people, resources, and information that are essential for student success in the first year of classes. We believe that our Peer Mentors play a significant role in shaping first-year students’ transition from high school to college life, motivation to succeed, and satisfaction with all that ¾«¶«´«Ã½ has to offer, that contributes to students’ commitment to the second year and beyond.
