Zoom provides several tools designed to enhance remote teaching. Below is a list of frequently used teaching tools that provide the means for more engaged leaning.

Breakout Rooms

Breakout rooms allow you to split Zoom meetings into as many as 50 separate sessions. The meeting host can split the participants into these separate sessions either automatically or manually, or they can allow participants to select & enter breakout sessions as they please. The host can switch between sessions at any time.

Polling

The polling feature for meetings allows you to create single choice or multiple choice polling questions for your meetings. You will be able to launch the poll during your meeting, gather the responses from your attendees with the option to share the results. You can download a report of polling results during and after the meeting. Polls can also be conducted anonymously.

Reports

Reports provide you with account and meeting statistics.  You can use them to review how you, your class or meeting group is utilizing Zoom including reviewing registration/attendee information.

You can download a report of the poll results after the meeting. When viewing a report of the poll results, please take note of these things:

• If registration was turned on and the poll was not anonymous, it will list the participants' names and email addresses.
• If registration was not on, the polling report will show the profile names of authenticated users in the same account.
• If the poll was anonymous, it will show "anonymous" for the participants' names and email addresses.

Recordings

You can record a meeting's video, audio and chat text.  Zoom allows you to save recordings to the cloud and/or locally on your computer.  Cloud recordings (recommended) can be shared later via a web link.  Zoom also provides several layout options so you can choose which parts of your meeting will be the focus of your recording.
